Good evening folks,

Can anyone advise me please on the recommended time/mileage for oil changes on the 75 auto gear boxe?

I would recommend every 2-3 years for ATF changes. I suspect the book might say it never needs changing, which is nonsense. If the car is new to you it must be assumed it was never changed and is years past due.

For things like this I`m getting info from the Rave CD.
According to the official Rover 75 Maintenance check sheet replace automatic transmission fluid in 60000 miles or 4 years /which ever occurs first/.
Position 46 D:

No worries just kidding ..there's a brief overview on DMGRS website here
it says 50K miles or 5 years, do my (not rover ) auto boxes at 30K or 3 years.

Just Remember and use fluid for the jatco box. You must use the correct Fluid. Universal or type 4 will not do.
