I met Alan through this club at the car meets and liked Alan for being a gentleman and enjoyed his humour and his knowledge of Africa, South African wines in particular. We kept in touch and I was aware of his illness. Alan had made solid friendships with several of us in the club and was good friends with Woof25 and Ed, Rover54. I remember how Alan was so proud of his Moonstone Tourer and rightfully so.

Alan's Moonstone Tourer:

Thank you Peter for helping Alan and for visiting him every week. I doubt that I will be able to go to his funeral.

Our condolences to his family. Rest easy my friend. I will raise a glass to you

I remember when Alan delivered your car Paul from down south to Liverpool your home, quite a long drive in my opinion, but as Alan had worked as a professional driver, such a drive would have been like bread and butter to him. What a helpful man he was

I hope you are keeping well.
