It's one of the big MS "feature" updates that's causing problems, I've read online I'm not the only one that's having trouble with these Win 10 feature updates.

I hope they'll bring a patch out to fix this bug because I don't need this every time I switch it on.
It's a high...ish spec desktop PC that I use for video editing & music recording and at present it lives in the wardrobe unused because it bogs down the PC for hours.

I upgraded my Win 7 pc a few weeks ago to Win 10 and that has more than a few error messages & missing windows applications

but yet that PC doesn't have any problem updating the feature updates

Both candidates for upgrades to Ubuntu on a SSD.
