I wouldn't want it in our garden.

Neither would I - that said I did have some old seats in the garage that me and the guys used to sit in. But I think that is very different to chopping the front off a car to make a seat out of it.

I started watching this last night and my son and I just couldn't believe that they would pack the guy off on a holiday and then cut his car up. My son said if they had done that to mine without my knowledge Titchmarsh would be feeling my fist in his face. Did you notice also that he had an up and over door to his workshop/garage that opened up into the garden and not the front of the house. This had a lovely Velocet in it and once the garden was finished the entrance was lawn and garden. Great planning hes not using that any more to fix a car up in his upcoming retirement is he.

I just couldn't watch any more and turned it off. I just cannot believe the guy didn't know they were going to take his car, and if they did that to my garden they would be digging it up again so I could use the workshop.

They will have let him know before hand, it's just TV. I mean no believes annika rice just rang all those builders up one morning, and then 5 minutes later they were there!

What!!!! - you mean it wasn’t her 6um in tight overalls that made the builders go all unnecessary?

I’m shocked....

I noticed they didn't show his reaction to it at the end of the program!

Best keep green fingers away from cars I think. What a waste.

Yes I noticed this, it was quite strange not to show the gentlemen what they had turned his old ZT into, especially when the gardens design was based on him being a car enthusiast.

Most probably not enough smiles were caught on camera when they showed him what they had done to his old ZT.

Alan was the gent in question, not titmash. Alan is a true motorhead, both cars and bikes. Not spoken to him since the tv show but I'm guessing he was not too happy, but he is such a gent would have kept that to himself. I think if you remember the reason for the programme it shows his true colours.

I'm also guessing there has been some additional modifications to the garden to get the workshop back into operation

I did wonder if Alan was a club member here, or on another car forum?
