Super quick, smooth and silent acceleration is super impressive.

I can see there being a ruling in the future to slow these EV's down...

I read that lots of Tesla owners are getting speeding tickets by the boatload because of the silent running & no engine noise for speed reference.

I don't what sort of insurance premiums these Tesla's cost but I read Tesla is getting into the car insurance business to insure their own cars.

I bet they aren't cheap to insure.

They are having to, as soon as they have an accident the insurance companies are writing them off for various reasons like no parts to repair and the complicated electronics. It does not take much working out if they are writing off 80k cars because of some minor damage it is going to cost a lot to insure one.

His Volvo just looked slow next to it.... sorry, behind it
With electric cars the power is instant unlike a petrol car.
Even cheap and cheerful cars are amazing when you floor the pedal.

I wonder how pedestrian and cycle collision rate will go with electric vehicles as people often don't look and now, wont hear when crossing the road

Tesla listed as carmaker with highest proportion of speeding drivers

Read the last bit where is says 'some countries are now starting to roll out regulations that favor electric cars'...

That's my theory out the window.

LOL I have a few "redneck" friends in the USA (Met through music forums) and love to rib them about family BEV sedans that seat five adults and still outpace most of the older Corvettes and Camaro's, Challengers .....They don't like it at all.
