Yes exactly, and bearing in mind what Dawn is doing to keep the rest of the car original, that's exactly what I'd be fitting too

I'm sure Saxo will have about six zillion Dawn could have for free

I just looked on Google, Rimmers etc and there is no way of getting new centers for the straights. I would imagine most are a right mess by now. Dave did say he has a set of straights as well, but I don't want to get that style and end up with messy centers...

You can get brand new centres from EBay, & with a bit of fettling, they can be made to fit Straights I have 4 in the shed, unused

Ah cool! I bet yours say Rover, though hehe!

I think Brian is twisting my arm here. Dave has also a set of straights as he mentioned them earlier in the thread so I have sent him a PM.

If you get the metal centres Dawn (As opposed to the plastic ones) You can get them powder coated with the wheels at refurb time.

Is there a source for replacement MG badges for the centers?
I have a set of new plastic centers but would prefer to have the existing metal ones refinished when I get the wheels done.
I suppose it may be possible to transfer them over by heating them with a hair dryer to soften the adhesive.
Another Badge I could use is the steering wheel center as mine
has gone spotty.
