We have a Permacoil boiler which was installed in 2014. We are out of warranty and had a heating engineer attend this morning. His call out including his labour came to £68 and he remedied the problem within 15 minutes of his arrival. I was dreading his visit, imagining everything going wrong and his bill coming to £500. If you are finding you can’t rely on the Baxi man to visit, have you considered trying a local engineer, just a thought. |

This evening, I visited a new GP a routine first appointment. I was pleasantly surprised. He was sympathetic and interested in what I had to say. I got everything I wanted. He stood up and shook my hand as I was leaving. |

Morning all.
A bit overcast here at the moment. Off to England by bus this morning. Going to the solicitors to finalise my up to date will, circumstances have forced me to change it. I’m leaving Rev Jules my fat wallet, stuffed with bills, no money, just bills.

Morning, was planning a bit of garden work today, dead heading, maybe even trim the ivy on the wall and the holly bush but its just started persisting down. Checked the Met Office website, there's a yellow warning for heavy showers/thunderstorms covering 99% of Scotland
Strange car sitting just along from the cottage, 04 plate Mitsubushi Evo, neighbour said it was there when he went out with the dog at six. Its not one of the doggy walking squad. Suspect it is a break down from last night, keep an eye on it. |

Heavy low clouds scudding over with regular breaks of bright sunshine here this morning - so neither one thing or the other.
I too will be working in the garden - loads of French beans, rhubarb and red & black currents to harvest. And the wild blackberries ripening on our regular dog walks are amazing - I don’t think I have ever seen such a crop. Looking forward to picking a load of those for the freezer! We get given windfall apples in the autumn - so I can see blackberry and apple pies on the menu. |
