Default Rover 75

Hi Guys just a quick one, i have been offered a Rover 75 Contemporary SE CDTI Auto but was wondering what they are like on fuel i have had the ZTT manual which i was very happy with MPG is the Auto about the same as the Manual ?

My driving....
I get 48 mpg in the manual.
About 40 in the auto.

I only get about 36mpg out of my diesel auto, but am very happy with it.

42 from my diesel auto, I don’t care about the economy, the auto box is great when stuck in a queue.

people say this but I find they are no better then a manual, out of drive into park/neutral and back again. I'm not one for keeping my foot on the brake.

About 36/37 mpg ish round town and 47 mpg on a run for my CDT Auto


The auto's great for a relaxing ride especially in the almost obligatory heavy traffic in all towns now. 40 odd years of changing gear millions of times are just a distant memory now
