Morning all - pretty damp here too and I'm confined to barracks. I'm having to lend my car to my son, as he's having an argument with one of these Insurance based warranties. His wife's car has developed a steering rack fault which means the rack has to be replaced - the insurance company are trying to say that it is a wear and tear problem and isn't therefore covered by the warranty.
Worn out steering rack - after 45,000 miles - we ain't accepting that one
In the meantime. he needs transport to work and back for a week of 2 'til 10 shifts.

Yeah, cool. Thursday was the only day they managed a mass ascent was before the weather turned - shame. I read that Darth Vader balloon was crowdfunded by Star Wars fans!

Evening all, been a nice day for a change. Currently sat in the caravan with a cuppa. No point in going to the bar for a beer, they've run out of draught Worthington's, no other
beers on tap apart from Guinness. 3 different lagers of course, and cider, but I hate the first and the second I can't drink apart from a small amount

Evening all from a nice calm and dry Norfolk Broads.

Had Andy pop over this afternoon for a coffee, cake and natter.

Andy brought Zed the Ted over as well for his stay with us for the next few weeks

Morning all, A wet but brighter day today after last nights downpours. Sliced fresh tomatoes from the greenhouse on hot buttered toasted tiger bread for brekkie even my black pudding has taken a back seat for these.

Morning to "the few" - the sun has reappeared up here this morning and it's a fair few degrees fresher too. I'm pleased to say the garage have agreed that my son's steering problem IS covered by the warranty which the dealer (Evans Halshaw) supplied (and no doubt charged for) when he bought the car.
I'm going to be interested to see what the part they're fitting is - they reckon it's costing £470+ so that's far too much for a power steering pump; could it be a new rack perhaps?
We'll find out tomorrow when he gets the car back.

Good morning Rod, it’s good news the warranty company has finally agreed for the part and the cost of labour to go ahead. The cost should be itemised on the invoice when it is printed out for your son. He can ask for it when he collects the car.
