It might be an idea to do the 'demist test' Fred to check that your slow speed is working.

I would be tempted to weigh it in, 1800 cars are rubbish.

On the other hand however they are the nicest of the lot to drive........I've had a nice day out today, cruising the highways and byways in my 1800, just short of 140 miles and didn't need a single head gasket

Coupled with burger n chips, with an ice cream cone for pudding in good company, on a nice sunny day what could be better

Just done the test and all is well, so the next is to replace the O rings on the expansion tank cap. She is running pretty well though.
