Default Gear Selector Linkage Cables

Just to reassure me, I think these cables for the manual gearbox selector lever, that connect to the actual gearbox, are the same for the 1.8 and 2 litre petrol as well as the diesel 2 litre?

They are the same across the board Fred, however the cables change on VIN is from 4D307061.

ULS000031 and ULS000021.

Drop Trikey a PM, as he may well have a set of these in stock new, as the price from Rimmers are £130.79 for ULS000031 , and £114 for ULS000021.

If you ask me how I know this, I bought both cables in December for the ZT, and by the time they had arrived, I had repaired the original cables, and decided not to fit the new ones............which are currently residing in my porch

Hope this helps

Brian

Be careful when removing the spring retaining clips at the engine. These can snap and as far as I know, are no longer available.

They snap or are deformed when removed by someone who doesn't understand how they work

Completely off topic, I wonder if MGJohn has seen this

Brian

P.S. find the clips HERE
