Head Skim Surrey/Ashford area?
Hi all, as my head gasket repair has failed after a month, I think the only answer is to take it off again (already started) and this time, without trying to assess it myself, have the head skimmed. Has anyone on here used any firm around this location please?

Give Mike Stafford a bell at MJSAUTOANDMARINE.CO.UK he might be able to recommend a local company.

Thanks Bob, I'll put that on my list; got into the camshafts this afternoon and they are spotless. A good dose of "Hellmans" above the gasket and through the breathers.

You could ask Hardy Engineering in Leatherhead - unlikely they do skimming but I'm sure they will know if there's someone local who does.
Gearboxes and axles are their main thing but as they race A-Healeys they probably have had everything machines at some point. |
