Advice, Major MOT fail
I can deal with the exhaust and the emmissions but the steering rack leak is a pain, I have been quoted £700 for the work all in, any thoughts please

A reconditioned rack costs less than £100. Why not ask one of the forum trader mechanics to replace the current one with new?

If the OP needs a rack I could probably sort them out with a decent used one if it helps keep costs down
