looking for help painting scuttle panel
Hi I have a spare panel that I would like to smarten up before fitting as the current one is broken and while the weather is still warm and get the sun to get some heat while fitting it, so was hoping that it would just be a shampoo and power wash then a clean with some alcohol and spray, any idea if this would work ?
Thanks

Use a good quality shampoo then treat with a high end plastic restorer.

It's important to make sure there is no oil or grease left on it or the paint won't stick properly and will scratch off easily when doing other jobs.
When i wanted to dye the internal trim I was told to clean the surface with acetate. I guess alchohol (specifically rubbing alchohol) is just as good.

Carb cleaner does a very good job of cleaning off all dirt and grease.

Don’t forget to use plastic primer or paint will eventually peel off

I prefer to restore the scuttle panel rather than paint it, remember there is a fair bit to flex when refitting (unless you remove the bonnet)
