2001 Rover 75 2.5 kv6 , removed fuel pump,block stuck in the bottom!!
Hi Folks
Further to my last post,I have drained the fuel out removed the pump, but had to cut the tube at the pump motor so I could get the pump out as there is a plastic block at the bottom which moves but seems to be stuck on the bottom of the tank. A club member referred to Autodoc( thanks for that) here is their reply "Dear Customer, Thank you for your question! According to the VIN you provided (SARRJZLLL1D******) this Fuel Feed Unit 228-222-010-002Z VDO is compatible with your vehicle. Best Regards, Autodoc Team " The pump that came out was WFX100933 is there a proceedure to remove this connection block so I can fit the new pump? Kind Regards Dan |

It is held in place with a metal spring clip (looks a bit like a bit of coat hanger wire!)

Staff in A & E see people with all sorts of objects stuck in the bottom but never a petrol pump block I believe.
