All petrol variants are canister.
Only the Diesels have the element type

Those front lower arms are a bargain if genuine Unipart, almost worth buying a pair in if you intend keeping your car.

The short answer is no. The petrols are canisters. The diesel is just a filter cartridge.

Just a warning re the supposedly OEM front droplinks from Rimmers and presmably many other OEM suppliers, the top ball joint is fixed to the rod by two tiny welds only. Mine broke, tangled up with the spring and scraped the inside of the road wheel. Be very careful what you buy.

I'll check the welds on the these Unipart drop links when they arrive and report back

Parts arrived this morning - all in proper red/blue Unipart boxes. The drop links look good - continuous welds around the top, and solid looking ball joints top and bottom.

The rubber on the front arm rear bushes does not look as 'meaty' as on the the version sold by Jules (picture below shows Unipart bush on the left, Jules bush on the right)
