I use it and think it's great.
It can do so much more than I know how to use.

Lightroom classic is what I use the most. Photoshop generally for touching in something, such as removing an object.
Photoshop and Lightroom are included in my Adobe package.

Same as Phil,

I subscribe to Adobe Creative Cloud (CC)

£9.99 per month gives me Lightroom and Photoshop plus other stuff such as Camera Raw.

I use Lightroom as my photo library tool and do most of my editing with it. Any further/more complex editing I use Photoshop which you can do from within Lightroom itself (Right click on image and select Edit in/ Adobe Photoshop)

I use Affinity Photo, I'm afraid I do not appreciate the move to monthly/annual subscription services and being on limited income cannot justify the constant outlay. I find the Affinity suite of programmes perfectly adequate for image manipulation. Having used Photoshop for many years I find that Affinity Photo does everything I need.

I would agree to a point but Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom bought together were about £800 so it would take quite a few years in subscription costs to get to that figure
Not to mention that within the subscription you get all the updates when they come on stream.

As you say, other editing software is out there and may well suit, some such as Gimp are free and seems very popular too.

I use Photoshop CS6 - it has much more capability than what I use though! I got it as a free download a little while back (from Adobe?) as it has been superseded by later additions.

I agree with this. Though it won't suit everyone, it's less per month than I pay for Netflix and as Jeff says, it ensures you get all the updates - the Neural filters included in the latest version are amazing. I just hope they don't "do a Photobucket" and increase the monthly fee to a ridiculous level at some point!

Thanks for your replies everyone.

It would appear that in general, it's worth using.
I will be paying monthly, to buy it in one go is a huge outlay.

I use Photoshop, but a very old version, Photoshop 7. And you know what? Works perfectly and no demands for online versions, contracts or whatever. I can do almost everything I want with it, and easy interface etc. Search Google and you will find free versions of it.
