Rimmers stock the arms both OEM and pattern-

One the same subject, but slight thread hijack.

Advisory says
"pin or bush worn N/S Rear lower (front bush)"
"pin or bush worn O/S Rear lower (front bush)"

Referring to the image, can someone suggest where those bushes are?

Are they just a single item or molded into one of the components?

Ta.

'scuse the 'jack

I would assume that to mean either the (rear) trailing arm front mounting/pivot bush, or perhaps the lower rear arm outer bush. But as it is not clear, I would ask the tester for clarification before ordering parts.

If the advisory is talking about the trailing arm bushes, they're available as separate items - #2,3,4 here. But the advisory wording doesn't make sense - if it means the lower arm outer bush (#4) there's only one of them each side of the car so the word "(front)" shouldn't be there.

This is all of the bushes etc on the rear end of the car, both sides:

Subframe bushes x 4 (#1 in your main diagram)
Upper arm inner bush x 2 (#2 here)
Lower arm inner bush x 2 (bolt 7 goes through it here)
Upper arm to trailing arm bush x 2 (#3 here)
Lower arm to trailing arm bush x 2 (#4 here)
Trailing arm to toe-in adjuster bracket x 2 (#2 here)
Damper bottom 'absorber' to trailing arm x 2 (#12 here)
Damper top mount x 2 (it's not a bush)
Roll bar to subframe mounting bush x 2 (#1 in your main diagram & #2 here)
Roll bar droplink to upper arm x 2 (#5 here)

I think I'd email the MOT station all of those diagrams and ask which one is the "Rear lower (front bush)"

Comfortably Numb.
Great guitar solo by he way!

It seems quite vague to me when it doesn't say 'front suspension' or 'rear suspension'

I'm hoping to get the car back in time for the free retest and I'll quiz them about it then.

"Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement Nearside Rear Lower (front bush)[5.3.4(a)(i)"
Is the exact wording.

-a

Thanks Blink. We posted about the same time. That's a useful list of bushes with the links. Appreciate it. Cheers.

Ah, I didn't know there was another new supplier - I thought you meant the one commissioned by DMGRS.

These were triangulated from the mounting holes in the subframe, and a ZT subframe was deliberately chosen so as not to introduce any error from settled metalastic bushes on the 75 variant.

So A and B below are the same on the Indian arms as they are on the original factory arms. The isolator locking hole hasn't moved but the spring cup drain holes and the oval hole are shifted further outboard on the Indian arms.

Alan - I got a couple of item numbers the wrong way round. Now corrected (I think ).
