I hope he makes it to 3 million miles.

Maybe as a reward Volvo will fit indicators to his car?

(Old joke alert)

I wonder if it's like Trigger's broom - it's the same one but has had five new handles and 7 new heads?

Wow fair play to that car and that man.
I'm sure I was once told that Volvo used British parts in their cars or was it just here say

That's quite some achievement. What on earth does he do to travel up to 1000 miles per day? He must really like driving....

QuoteI'm sure I was once told that Volvo used British parts in their cars or was it just here say

The bodies for the P1800 (saint type) volvo were manufactured in the UK by the Pressed Steel Company (they also built bodies for Austin/Morris etc, Vauxhall and the Rootes Group and were eventually swallowed up by BMC). The Volvo bodies were then transferred to the Jensen Factory for trimming and fitting out. However, after about 6000 cars had been produced the bodies were shipped direct from Pressed Steel Company to Volvo as there had been concerns about the quality of work carried out at Jensen. The P1800 bodies continued to be made in the UK until 1969.

That's the problem. I love driving my 75, but I hate racking the miles up. Maybe I should just sit in it and pretend to drive it. The neighbours think I'm mad already, so why not?

Sit in your car, make some "brum brum" noise then "stop" the car and then proceed to have a pic-nic on your drive in your car before you "drive" back home again. Very therapeutic.

When you say picnic, I hope you mean virtual food Simon, as virtual crumbs I can cope with.
