The ebay add says the car was first registered 01/25/1999 but how could this be if the first car was vin100001 - 1st full production 75 produced -build date 12/4/99 as per the thread on Wedgewood cars?

There were some pre-mass production cars built for testing and publicity etc, these were generally also used by the Rover managers. They have VIN code numbers that start with a '0' not a '1'
The first mass production 75 is 100001, so this may have been a 1998 built car |

I was going to post about this car but as the bidding had just crept over £1000 I didn't in case anyone was bidding. Anyway, it is an S reg and was more than likely built in December 1998. I'm sure Reebs may be able to look it up. |

I have posted these pics before but I don't think the pics are in this thread. This is S403AOX in August 1999 (you can read the reg much easier on the original pic). I borrowed the car from work (Rover) to attend a bike rally at Stanford Hall near Rugby. As your list suggests it was an Arden green 1.8 Man, with green personal line interior.
and from the side- I once took this through the car wash in the press garage at Gaydon. It was Left hand drive so I had to get out to press the start button. I noticed the passenger side front window was open just too late. It was summer so I parked it out of sight with the windows open all day. It dried out (ish) pretty quickly considering. If I recall correctly this car was one of the QP build (quality proving). This was the last phase before pre-production proper. I notice that the reg S442AOX is missing (although the info is correct) and the picture in this position shows S542AOX. 442 was our 'hack' from '98 to about 2004. I covered thousands of miles in that car. Never failed at-all as far as I can remember. Steve.

Sorry for reviving this thread, but if I am one of the owner of the cars listed in the first post, does it make sense for an admin to add some pics and update the status of the car?

The OP isn’t on here much these days, I’m sure he will update things when he pops in, if there are any new cars or changes, just add them to this thread for reference.
