Hi Gaghalfrunt,Ged57,perry,JackJ1375,Daveystoat,Bob12 005, your SSMC were sent out 10-11th for you so should be with you to have a go at fitting them the weekend if you do not have anyhting on, and have 45 minutes spare.
Remember to replace the little black clip which is removed from the front part of the compensator which holds the cable in place also make sure you peel the carpet back as far as the seat belt anchors of past if you can this will aid in the lifting the carpet to gain that little extra access to the metal cover over the compensator, and if possible use the little wedge of wood to hold you the console and working from the rear passenger footwell all the time i really must do a video of this process cheers Arctic. PS i have three left from the last batch made should anyone want one for the weekend you ned to PM me http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ed+compensator http://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/foru...ed+compensator

Handbrake (Stainless Steel)
Just an update to say I've fitted mine and it works a treat. I'm more than happy to assist members fitting this in the Northampton area in exchange for a brew and a choccy biccy, and good banter
I really do urge people to adjust the rear calipers whilst the cables are slacked off, mine were tremendously out of balance. Once done the nut on the handbrake adjuster only needed 12mm of clear thread before the handbrake locked the wheels at 3 clicks. This really is a great mod, thanks Arctic.

I still have not received the Compensator that you sent on 28 May - please could you PM me with the address that you sent it to and whether the envelope had a Customs Declaration on the outside. [It may be stuck in Customs!!!]. I have received a couple of letters from the UK this week, so the mail is getting through for conventional items.
Please bear with me on this, the other problem that I have is that I 'stripped' the car ready for the refit a fortnight ago and although we have another smaller vehicle, I guess that I shall have to refit the 'old' compensator as we need the MG next week. hand brake adjuster
This is the first time I have used the forum so sorry if my contact is dificult. I have all the problem with the hand brake you have described so effectively, this has been diagnosed by my car repairer as cable stretch and it is on its final adjustment with the handle inconvenient high. I would like to purchase a modified version you have developed. Whether my local garage or I do it will depend on my arthritus in my hands at the time. I am aging quicker than my car. Please inform me of whether you can supply the mod and the prrocedure.
