WHITE smiley number plate
Anybody know where I can buy a WHITE smiley number plate to conform to the new French regs.
I have spent hours searching but can only find yellow UK ones. Thanks. Jean |

Yes ebay seller 'hardridden' will do you one.
Just search for 'Rover 75 rear plate' on e-bay and look for the name.

Thanks again trikey, I have a reply.
"Yes I can. I can also do it with the French characters, the Euro F badge and the department badge you might want. It does cost more than the standard UK plate at 15.95GBP and the delivery cost to France is 8.95GBP. Thanks, Ken - hardridden" |

Beware...
I had one from the same source for my Tourer, lovely job!, (RHD imported to Portugal from the UK), fitted it but it was 'failed' by the local version of the MOT test. Reason - "does NOT conform to the European Standard in the white colour and shape", however I could not tell the difference - so I had to buy a locally sourced one that I fitted over the top of the white smiley plate, that was deemed to be OK. |

I've had no problems with my white smiley plate for the last three MOT's ( CT's in France. )
You can get them made up in the French 'ironmongers' which are found in most shopping malls. ( Take your old one in as a pattern ) Colvert. |
