Can these be used with the six cd changer in the glovebox by any chance? I haven't quite grasped memory sticks.

No they can't.
The technology is totally different so the head unit cannot talk to the CD. Memory sticks are easy to work with, either with real player or one of the other media players. Linux has some very good media suites.

The need to pre-load the CD with discs is one of the reasons l decided to go with one of these new-fangled hi-fidelity units.

Default It's In

Hi

With the help of John H mine is now in and working

Got the reversing camera fitted and working too (thanks for excellent pics/info to all the trail blazers on here)

Didn't have time to work out steering wheel controls and made a right dogs dinner of trimming the fascia plate so will have to re-visit this to fix/adjust/scrap at a later date.

My first impressions are everything works well but the user interface is a bit fiddly.

Only a cpl of minor gripes but I will mention in case anybody has managed to find out how to overcome them as product manual is not great:

1:I cant seem to change sound profiles unless in the radio/tuner mode.
Somebody mentioned being able to turn equaliser off to just use bass/treble...can't find that option.

2:Bluetooth mic is quite far away so sounds a bit quiet to people on other end of phone(probably nothing I can do about it but I do have a mic fitted from my previous bluetooth kit and was wondering what the 3mm jack skt at the back of the unit is for??)

I will try and get some pics up

Regards

The whole exercise has cost about £60 fingers crossed it keeps going

Hi.
To adjust the Bass & Treble you need to keep pressing the volume control till you come to equaliser, you may need to do this twice through the full sequence before you find it, once there turn the control till you see in the little display its off. Wait till it clears then press the button again and the first option is Bass then the second press will be Treble. I keep the "Loud" on as that gives a bit of Bass boost on low volume settings.
The bluetooth mic is a bit insensitive, it seems better if I speak up a bit.

Default Siemans VDO CR213X

I have a very late ZT-T which was fitted with a Siemens VDO CR213X system with 6 CD changer (I don't use the CD player!) and have ordered a 7" Bluetooth V2.0 TFT Screen Car Audio Stereo MP5 Player FM USB Remote Control as a replacement after following the rave revues on here.
I have looked at ALL of the posts, especially the suggested things that I ought to order in able to get the system to operate, and had a look at the rear of my 213 - it seems to me that the connector systems that have been discussed here are not the looms and connectors that are in my vehicle!
I would appreciate a comment or two, if any, on what connectors that I might have to obtain to satisfactorily install the system when it arrives...
Regards...
