Recomendations for front discs and pad?
When swapping the wheels over today noticed that the front discs look a little worn so of course I then checked the pad thickness and they will soon need replacing. So on the to do list they go.
Am wondering which ones to get. Do we go for a well known branded make or a car factors choice? The prices vary wildly. The car of course is the Classic CDT Auto. Advice and suggestions welcomed .

Personal preference. On an auto 75 I always buy something with a decent branded pad as you do Hest the brakes when holding it at lights etc if your a lazy driver.

Reading the handbook, I know shock horror!!!, it seems that the CDT Auto's disengage drive when sitting stationary with foot brake applied. I have always tended to knock into neutral when waiting on the autos. Touble is with getting old some of the brake pads brands I have never heard of and know nothing about it was QH, Girling, Lockheed or Brembo and now look at all the brands .

I went with PAGID discs and pads when I had my CDT, found they were spot on, especially with the 160 upgrade applied.

I've often used EBC Greenstuff pads and found them to be very good and the fact they hardly generate any brake dust is a bonus. I've never been too fussy about the discs as long as they are a good recognised brand like Pagid, TRW, Brembo etc etc.

Borg and Beck ;these are very nice https://www.dmgrs.co.uk/collections/...-and-sfp100520
I have recently fitted the rear versions and the aluminium-coated discs are too pretty to cover up with wheels !

Personally i highly rate Pagid discs and pads... Pagid do some extreme race/rally pads and actually supply Audi with their brakes for the RS models so the discs are a good quality.

I agree with Chris75, after fitting Borg N Beck all round over a year ago they still look good work well and do not show much wear. And as said no nasty rust.
