I used a tyre pressure finder online and that said 35 front 34 rear.
What do all you put in?

I suppose it depends on the version of the handbook that you are looking at.

My earlier 2001 handbook, that came with the car, a KV6, is:
2.1 bar 30psi (F) and 1.9 bar 28psi (R)
rather than
2.2 bar 32psi (F) and 2.1 bar 30psi (R) in the above 2004 issue, that T-Cut has put up.

For the German market it is:
2.5 bar 36psi (F) and 2.4 bar 35psi (R) - Reduced Load
2.6 bar 38psi (F) and 2.5 bar 36psi (R) - Maximum Load

I agree with the OP that these tyres look like they are under inflated at the standard book figure.

I am running mine at 34psi (F) and 32psi (R), which seems to suit the car better.

I agree that the apparent pressure will be about 5lbs higher when the tyres are hot. And I also find that it all “works” better with 35 all round (stone cold) than the official figures. The tyres always look a little flat at the lower figures, and I lose a couple of mpg, which surely can’t be right…

Maybe my car’s extra heavy

Or maybe I am

I wouldn't drop your pressures.

I agree they look under inflated. I suspect it was part of MGR's comfortable ride strategy. I prefer 34 all round.

Yes, and at the lower figures, they do seem to wear at the edges, which I'd normally associate with under-inflation

Do you know, I've just learned something new, I never even twigged that the Tourer pressure might be different to the Saloon, I need to top mine up a little it seems. Well, really I need to refurb them completely THEN put the right pressure in but one step at a time

That must be a post Project Drive listing as it does not have the 205/65 R 15's found on the early cars. My 99 dated handbook states 30 Front and 32 rear for teh 205's on a Diesel.
