Default Seat belt thingys

How do you adjust the seat belt height thingys. I've tried asking nicely and I had a good swearing session, but to no avail

There is a wire attached to the seat so when you adjust the seat backwards or forwards, it automatically adjusts the seat belt Have a look under the seat on the frame

I had seen the wire under the seat, but never thought about what it was for. Nor have I ever tried to adjust the seatbelt.

Mind You, the amount of seats the old blingmobile has had, I'm not surprised you knew

Not really Graham, it's a matter of remembering what has been posted before by much cleverer people than me I just copy & paste

Coincidentally, I 'discovered' mine today - fiddling with airbag connectors.
If you need to take a seat out, I assume you need to disconnect it.

Does it need securing beforehand to stop it disappearing up its own sleeve or can you just let it hang loose?

The wear on my car, after some 11 years is not as bad as in the photograph but I would like to repair it. As I am the main driver of this car, the belt and seat has been in the same position since new with the rare movement when my wife drives. The belt itself shows no sign of fraying, I'm pleased to say but apart from replacing the pillar cover what does anyone suggest, please?
