This is BAD NEWS... Mrs TimeSearcher is just packing the suitcases ready for our holiday back in the UK. We are driving from Central Portugal to N. Wales and W. Yorks for July. I had suggested that shorts and T shirts should go in, but she says it's going to be cords and stout shoes etc... and after checking the forecast on the tablet I reckon she is about right...

You lot gone soft or something? It feels cold because we got used to the high temperatures we had for a couple of weeks. Our heating has got a lock on till it gets really cold.Just took the dog for a walk and I am sweating. Poured myself a whisky and coke to cool down. Aaahhhh..

It's not just the temperature that's way out, For the past few evenings we have put the lights on before 8pm...
We seem to have lost almost 6 weeks of this summer up to now!

Where are you guys living? Here in Sunny south London our house temperature has not been below 21 (centigrade) for well over a month and peaked at 27. Heating went off end of April. As old Pensioners we have our summer holidays in November and December when it is cold and miserable in Blighty.

Ahhh well your close to all that "Hot Air" spouted by those in Westminster then add the body heat from the population of an entire other country in London alone and there you have it the reason why your not feeling the cold like many have in what was supposed to be the Summer!

On another note spare a thought for those in other parts of Europe that have just recorded record highs in tempreture. Had to laugh as one web sorce claimed that Spain, and Portugal were the highest at 40 degrees C but Greece, Romania and Bulgaria were up to 44 degrees yesterday.

Working outside again yesterday and I had my winter jacket and cap on to keep warm.
We're now into July and it's still freezing. Around 5.00 pm last night there was something bright in the sky, someone told me it was the sun, haven't seen it for a long time.
