The Russian Concordski crashed at the Paris airshow and the yanks project was axed by their government..

Just a thought, the first batch of Harriers were delivered to RAF Wittering in 1969..

That 'fighter' was actually a Canberra bomber that we 'borrowed' from Boscombe Down on many occasions as a support a/c when we did trials in Morrocco during the early flight testing phase.
I was working in the Concorde Flight Test Department at Fairford from before first flight until end of 1980 when we had completed the project, best time of my working life...

USA spent more money on the B-2707 Boeing / SST mock-up than we did on the whole project to certification... the swing-wing function was just too complex and they couldn't get the engine intake technology to work until they developed the B1 and then it was and still is a long way short of the system that we had on the prototype in 1969...

There was speculation in 2015 that a Concorde could return to the skies. Apparently a group called "Club Concorde" had raised enough money to do so.
