Water Ingress into Driver's Footwell
There is much dampness of late in the driver's footwell of my very late model Rover CDTi. Can't see why. Could this be via the pedal surrounds? I've not been through any deep water.

Is the plenum drain blocked and the clutch pipe grommet missing?

Drivers footwell (LHD - in Spain)
I have a similar problem on my Rover 75 Diesel CDTi conny. I have owned the vehicle just 2 weeks.
My drivers footwell and rear footwell behind the driver are filling with water. I dried up the water and drove the vehicle about 40Km and after that time I found that both the footwells had again about 0.5/1.0" of water above the carpet level. We had no rain in that journey. The water is clean/clear and not from the radiator(green). There is no musty smell, the pollen filter is dry and the plenums are clear(just cleaned them) I have cleaned the Plenums, siliconed behind the rear light clusters. I have not had a replacement windscreen. Where might this water be coming from? Is there a drain pipe inside the car for the air-con that might have become detached? The weather is sunny, bright and no rain is forecast for next 10 days. |

I have the same. I am assuming itvcollects somewhere and then when I drive the car the motion and road camber allow it to move. Trying a windscreen this Friday. Also try replacing white scuttle retainers as it was that on my 1.8!

Puddled
I am based on the Costa Blanca, Spain, near Gandia. This is a rare car out here, in olde english white.
I don't have a sunroof, either. I have tried the more obvious, but I do not get a puddle under the car when parked after a run, so I am thinking that an air-con drain pipe might be dislodged. Allowing the air-con to drain into the car. I can't find anything relating to air-con drain pipes or anything that can help me find out anything about the air-con. Its like top-secret. There doesn't seem to be any schematics or diagrams available on this site relating to the air-con. The owners manual is no help with this. I drive on the RHS of the road, as this is a LHD car. So i'm sitting high on the LHS of the car (camber) and any water draining from a content would go into the passenger side footwells. No, the water is only on the drivers (LHS) side of the car, front and rear. This is happening when there is no rain, just the air-con being used. Pulling my hair out now (if I had any). I can't even find a copy of the repair manual for a Rover 75 that might help me locate the problem. Any suggestions from anyone, would be helpful. Help!!!!!! Drainage pipes under the car https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/for...96&postcount=1
You should also make sure the plenum area is unblocked as this can impact on the ecu causing major problems |
