Wow sounds good . That must earn you some brownie points.

Chap opposite is selling his 06 reg x trail diesel with 80,000 mls on clock, will have a chat with him later.
Been there, done similar and got the Honda CR-V to prove it. I managed to get an 08 plate Honda with 49k on the clock - and whilst it isn't as quiet and smooth as my 75 diesel was, the ease of getting in and out of a higher vehicle makes it worth it (for both of us!)

That's why my father ended up getting the XL-7. My mother's arthritis meant she couldn't get in and out of a normal car.

It’s scary isn’t it, my mate who I also worked with died suddenly early this year, he was only 3 years older than me

There was a mate of mine, who when he retired at 65 he promised himself to walk 6 miles a day to keep fit.
He's 82 now,nobody knows where he is.

Evening all, Thank you to everyone for the kind words. Dad passed away this afternoon on their 66th wedding anniversary to see Mam crying over him was heart wrenching to say the least, I'm all cried out today.

We had a anniversary cake made and NHS cupcakes made for the nurses on the ward who were, it has to be said fantastic with the 'end of life care'

Sad day indeed but in a way I'm glad it's over for him.
