Cool

Morning everyone from sunny Saltash.

Helped Allen and Val yesterday restoring a wee boat down at Waterside. The small motorboat, "Happy Dayz", was Allens late fathers boat. We had a generator and I was allowed, what could possibly go wrong, to use the sander. Much sanding and scraping was done. We even managed to get a coat of primer on before the tide came in.

Going back this morning as Allen is going to make and install new window frames. Keeps me out of mischief and my mind occupied. Will post pictures up on here at some point. (There are some photo's over on Facebook).

Morning all, breezy and a bit cool. Housework day, Maya's idea of a hobby is to bring leaves, twigs, bit of moss and anything else she can find into the house and dissecting it!

Morning all - what a glorious Summer's day it is. It must be a good 10 degrees warmer than the past few days - make the most of it whilst it lasts

Bright sunny day here. Intend to have pie, peas and mash for tea so have just pulled some spuds out of the cupboard to ready them. Started by warning them that I intend to subject them to a weapon of mash destruction, hopefully that will frighten them out of their skins and save me the job of peeling them.

Sounds good we're having smoked haddock, mash & veggies for tea.

I've got the job of cleaning the back bedroom windows & conservatory today whilst it's nice, I cant use the lance & snowfoam as our neighbour has got a line full of washing pegged out & the wind is blowing in that direction.

I think it was Rod who mentioned in one thread about being unable to look up, I'm the same! I'm using an old 9 metre Roach pole from my fishing days with two sponges tied to the end to wash the windows with & I'm going dizzy looking up and losing my balance.
Getting old ain't for no sissies

Must be a general thing as I'm the same about looking up, not particularly confident on tall ladders now either.
