Cool

Morning all from "blue sky wall to wall" Saltash.

We spent 7 hours on the wee boat yesterday. Side window frames finished, front window in but frame to be finished, newish top hatch in place, rear floor installed and made from re-cycled wood. The whole upper section of the cabin and the seating area given another coat of primer.

Val brought us lunch of ham sandwiches made with home made bread, then there was crisps and finished off with a chunk of fruit loaf, all washed down with tea.

To round off the day Allen and I nipped into the Union Inn for a swift 'alf. My first visit to this pub, that does not serve food. I had a pint of 'Sharp's' Doom Bar and Allen had a pint of 'Lilleys' Rum Cider. The cider only cost £2 a pint, I was allowed a taster and oh! my! What a lovely taste, so smooth especially for a cider.

Then it was home time. I ached from head to toe, caught the sun even more but had a grand day learning new skills. Allen is a good teacher.

No boat work today as I have housework and washing to catch up with. And I need to get Zed the Ted packed up and sent off to JB Tourer.
Cars to be swapped over, the Bear gets a wash and then a rest. Banana comes out ready for the Rattler Run over the weekend to Newquay.

G'day all - another pleasant, warm, sunny day ower 'ere ('over here' for those of you not fluent in broad Yorkshire )
Where has the week - the month - and the year gone???
SWMBO started on about "I've bought a couple of Christmas presents today" - for heaven's sake, it's still flippin' September. I reckon such jobs should be left to around December the 22nd.
I'm off out to buy a packet of humbugs

When I was trimming the lavender yesterday I disturbed a spider, I noticed it because Pops and Maya were fascinated with something striding across the path. Its not a spider I'd ever seen before, big with a huge body, dark colour with paler markings on the body, should have taken a photo. I left it alone and allowed it to make its way to cover. Looking online this morning, rather disturbingly the closest I can see to it is the False Widow

If it was a false widow thankfully Pops and Maya girls didn't annoy it enough for it to react.

George would have been round like a shot to sort that out for you Steve.

The suns showing it's face through the grey cloud and it's quite warm here now, Time to fire up the petrol mower & put some stripes in the lawns

Because you've quoted it it'll still appear in your post so its your fault Rod

Pee'd off with these blood thinning meds, any nicks or cuts you bleed like a stuck pig!. Scraped the skin on my arm earlier, just lifted a layer of skin, had to put a bandage on it.
