A day to forget me thinks.

Left for work in Braintree today and got as far as Colchester on the A12.
Straight into a traffic jam and didn't move for over three hours

Motorbike and Lorry had a coming together......Unfortunately the Motorbike rider was pronounced dead at the scene.

Bad day for all caught up in the traffic jam, far worse day for the bike rider and his friends and family

Kind of brings everything back to reality doesn't it.

Yep.....poor blighter no doubt on his way to work but never coming home

Only in his twenties according to the local news.

Strewth - I'm the first one in for breakfast - morning all

I'm on the moderately early school run this morning, but despite what looks like a canny day in prospect, I'm taking the car. I want to do the weekend shopping as early as possible to avoid all the parking mayhem in Morrisons - taking my car on the school run, I save half an hour.

Sad to see the news you posted up last night Jeff. Even with the best intentions on a bike it can only take a moment of misjudgment by either of both parties for something terrible to happen as you know and I now and again experience when I'm out on the Harley

Morning Rod. Glad you are saving a half hour on your trip. I usually go shopping at 8am or 7:30pm to miss the traffic at Lidl's and B&M. If I go to the superstore I like going out after 12am to miss all traffic but you do have to entail falling over all the shelf stacker's and finding the item you want behind a massive loading trolly
