Morning one and all - it's a canny morning here, but there's definitely a chill in the air. It's hard to drag myself out of my pit when my nose gives me an early warning of the temperature

Just back from walking the dog - what a tremendous morning!

Frost on the car as I walked past it and bright sun shining through the cobwebs in the fields and hedgerows made for a really spectacular start to the day.

Only negative is that my feet are ruddy frozen.

Getting round to the time of year where a mug of coffee, laced with a drop (or two!) of rum does no harm

Good morning Julien, hopefully he/she will sail through the MOT. I had mine done recently by PhilT4 at the garage he works in and before the MOT was done, I asked Phil to check the mud guard trim on the drivers side to see if it was loose or not. I asked him to check the heat shield, because I have had an annoying rattle which only comes on during acceleration between 20 and 50 mph intermittently. The rattle lasts for about 20 seconds then it disappears. I have had it for several years and no one can trace what its source is. After the MOT, Phil showed me the underbody of the V6 when it was up on the lift. The wheel trim and the heat shield were both secure and nothing was hanging loose. He said sometimes the V6's can be a bit of a rattle.

Today, I am driving to the west country for a few days break.
All the best with the MOT

Drove the cdti this morning- surprised to see the FBH trying to fire up. (It didn’t so the issue hasn’t miraculously cleared itself over the summer

I have a good upgraded working spare so hopefully will swap them when I get the time.
