I had heard that the dishes at RAF Stenigot in Lincolnshire were being scrapped Last week they started to tear down the first of the four dishes, today there is one left.

Gary, Lydia, Steve and Deb came along for one last look (Pics of the site with the four dishes can be seen earlier in this report)

Later this week my favourite site will be gone, another piece of cold war history will just be a memory.

Such a waste to scrap our history and what helped keep us safe, what is wrong with the morons of today

Went to an old abandoned scrapyard near Norwich today, some lovely stuff there, although in its heyday there were over 3500 vehicles!

Popped into the old Coventry speedway stadium last night, only one very bad pic though as we had to beat a hasty retreat

Andy - just a thought:

Might be worth sending some of the vehicle shots in Post #93 to Practical Classics for their "Rust In Peace" section. If they use them, they'll pay you!
