Advice on lower ball joints?
Hi, need advice on lower ball joint for the offside, according to the garage its easier to fit the whole unit - ball joint, arm and rear bush - Is this correct and if it is then where is the best place to buy, and what is the whole unit called?
A part number if possible maybe required as the garage couldn't find one? Thanks in advance. Dave. |

Assuming I have understood you, I think these got a recommendation
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELPHI-Suspension-Arm-Track-Control-Arm-for-ROVER-75-TC1261-Mister-Auto/191695637167 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DELPHI-Suspension-Arm-Track-Control-Arm-for-ROVER-75-TC1260-Mister-Auto/311448485765 I don't think the ball joint is separate. There is mention on the forum, that these can be changed by just lowering the sub frame slightly. I am not sure if the bolts for the rubber bushes could be torqued up due to lack of space macafee2 |

It fitted by a garage then it's easy on a hoist which makes the two bolts on the bush housing easy to reach. Just fitted mine for the MOT. Used a friends pit.-- |

Thanks for replies, looking at Moog seems reasonable.
Garage will fit as age and aches put a restriction on what I can now do. Cheers Dave. |

We read numerous posts about replacement parts that fail prematurely or are simply not up to the job. If the Moog one is well known for lasting say 80K miles then that's brilliant, but if it fails in, say, 10K then IMHO that's a complete waste of time, effort and money. It's not a job I fancy doing every year or so . I suppose it all depends upon what your criteria are. Andy. |

Great info as I "might" be needing some soon - when the weather stops raining so I can get under and have a good look. Cheers. Andy |
