R75 MK1 claw bonnet pull
Guys, gals
I wanted to know if theres a knack of fitting the mk1 R75 bonnet claw pull, i took one off my donor car, and wanted to know is there an easier way on placing it back on my other car, as the big fan in the centre when bumper lights, big chrome bar have been removed prevents this coming out from the right side and the horn mount is very tight too the left side. the way i go the claw out last time was to loosen the slam panel (the black one) and flex it about a little is this the only way?? to refit the claw handle to the slam panel? is there a better way? |

Artic, done, changed a wing a claw and slam panel block and replaced with the donor bumper ( old one now pitted after 300000 miles plus and the one wing was now pitted, its looked fantastic now, and all bonnet release system all works now.
i want to now change the drivers door card and bonnet. however need two geezers to assist whilst i remove the old one and replace to my road running car. Artic when are you available for assistance mate? plus the real dashwood exchange as the donor car is a real wood car too, which is a bonus. I have had the donor car 5 years, and had it in the garage all that time, kept waxing the panels with auto glym to keep the panels looking sweet and by- grove they do......my bonnet on my road going car looks pitted now against the better lower mileage wings and bumper, but once done will look great!! last week exchanged the driver door mechanism had a spare drivers door for that too !! its definitely paid off to have the donor car and that one single door all these years on almost zero costs. Claw
I need it because the chrome grille I doesn't have one so have to lever the claw with a screwdriver to open the bonnet, all I need is the guide on the back of the grille like on my original one.
