Bright but not quite sunny. Still cold though.

Morning all.

We're a bit like Steve. Bright but sort of overcast. And dry.

Maybe get outside to do some jobs - cutting the grass looks on the cards

Quizzie's still recovering from a couple of hours of "play" with her boyfriend, Bertie, the Golden Retriever.

Take care

G'day one and all - 'tis a pretty good start to the day, with warm(ish) sunshine, very little cloud and none of the cold winds that have kept temperatures down over the past few days. I'm walking like a ruptured duck at the moment. I've done something to my back which goes into spasm if I move too quickly. An inactive few days coming up.

Well, that was "fun"! Hoovering around the edges of the kitchen floor with the hose on the hoover, didn't notice a duster that had gone down the back of the radiator, the hoover ate it! Being a Vax upright the handle doubles as part of the hose attachment, the duster wedged itself solidly about halfway along the handle bit. Took nearly an hour to get the bleedin' thing out again. Situation was complicated by the handle having a bend in it, eventually found a metal rod that would bend enough to get down inside the handle but rigid enough to be able to actually knock the duster out.

You have my sympathy Rod. When I fell in the garden a few days ago I didn't realise at the time but I must have landed squarely on my bumbone (coccyx) badly bruising it. Couple of days after the event sitting hurt, standing hurt, bending hurt, walking hurt. Its easing a bit now but bending is still a bit of a bugr.

Been out to catch the pigeon again as a neighbours dog was going nuts at it on the back field. It's in the cat box again with some bird seed in the greenhouse eating it.

Doesn't seem injured at all, no broken wings or legs it's flapping both wings ok I had to chase it to catch it.

I had pigeon many moons ago.

Conclusion - a total waste of time and effort. I reckon you'd need at least half a dozen per person as about the only bit that's in any way substantial is the breast and even that's not much.

Hope it gets well enough to fly off.

And doesn't find your chimney again .

LOL More meat on hen's yed as we say here I've just been into the greenhouse to check on it & it was flapping & wanting to get out so I released it again & it came back into the garden and started eating the grass seed that the electricity guys sowed

I don't know what else to do with it but it's certainly getting stronger.
