Morning all.

Cloudy but bright and dry here.

Well, the postcrete worked and we now have our bird feeder ready to go. Some DIY food made with lard, peanuts, sunflower hearts, oats and mixed dried fruit (a RSPB recipe) will be out shortly.

I'll be good to see what we get this year.

Have a good one and take care.

We've tried various bird foods here but have settled on sunflower hearts, they all go mental for them. Occasionally put peanuts or suet balls out but they're nowhere near as popular, they regularly empty the three (quite large) feeders with sunflower hearts in a day! A 20 kilo bag of sunflower hearts lasts less than a month!

My gaming PC which I use for Train simulator is tied to Windows OS if it wasn't it would be getting binned for Linux.
I've had this updating trouble with three other Win 10 desktop PC's , My main PC back then had all my music/recording software on it & the major Win 10 updates never ever got installed because of errors & it constantly kept trying to download/install them . I don't connect that PC up to the internet at all any more. None of my software is dodgy in fact I paid a lot of money for some I had enough of that hassle & overwritten Linux & Ubuntu onto the HD/SSD's, Never ever had a moments trouble with those OS's & the machines run much better too.

You're doing well. Our 20 kilo bag disappears in just two weeks or less. ( Mixed grain. ) Even the local wood pigeons have started to drop in.
Best restaurant in town.--

Our feeders are squirrel/big bird proof, have to be or get pigeons, magpies etc at them all the time keeping the small birds away. We're surrounded by woodland and open grassland, no shortage of pigeons, magpies, grey squirrels etc. Squirrels are or were the worst, not only eating the seeds but destroying the feeders as well All the feeders are the caged type and there's an anti climb shield on the pole as well.

Tried the mixed seeds . . . . all they did was eat the good stuff (sunflower seeds) and spit the rest onto the ground

Afternoon all,. It's been greyer than 50 shades all day and now that I've finished in the garden the clouds have lifted & the sun has come out, Better late than never I suppose, It'll be a lovely evening

I've been mixing rotted horse manure & compost & sowing my seed potatoes in 30 ltr buckets today.

Chicken Kiev & baked spud for tea.

Make sure you clean your finger nails out before tea

Soon I'll find repose

And then I'll hold you in my dreams
