Default If it's good enough for the Pope...

Have to go back to the UK for a couple of days this weekend, need a hire car for about 150 miles of travel between Manchester Airport -> Mold in Flintshire -> Huddersfield -> then back to Ringway, so I have decided to go 'small-car' this time and have booked a Fiat 500 from Europcar. We had an 'original 500' when we were married 50 years ago [wish we still had it!!] I believe it has changed somewhat... I'll be intrigued to see how it performs...

My sister who lives in Italy had an original and loved it .

Cool

I had a 1972 FIAT 500L brand new, £700 on the road, in Tahati Yellow and called "Baby Burp". And, yes, I wish I still had it.

If you get one later than 2013, it will be a slug. They have been de-tuned to meet emissions and are slow. If you get a Diesel or an Abarth, they are much better. The Abarth is silly BHP.

When I told my wife what car I had 'booked' she said "Oh... Double de-clutching then... again..."
