Rover 75 Special Valve Product (SVP)
Greetings: I have a very late Rover 75 CDTi CLASSIC built 16/3/2005 @60K. It seems to be loaded and even after 6 weeks of owning this, I keep on finding more "goodies" on it! It has full black leather/grey piping, folding rear seat, 4 electric windows, 16" alloys, full sound-proofing, full wheel arch liners, airbags in A and B pillars, full size matching alloy spare wheel, twin-tone horns, reversing sensors.....I could go on. I've learned from the font-of-all-knowledge-REBS (have I got that name right?) that this was a SVP version and I wonder just how many of them are out there and what various permutations of options were fitted. Were these just "random" additions, did anyone care/monitor/record just what went on, was every model on the line different??? I often think of the state of mind of the workers by mid March, when everything ended just 3 weeks later......Would love to hear of other owners findings. ED

Sadly, It's all stored in my head.
I'm at work at the moment, I'll try and list the spec tomorrow. Last edited by Stephen Fussell; 13th November 2015 at 15:33.. |

The "new" 2005 Rover 75 Classic was updated from the 2004 model by the addition of 4 way power windows, 16" 7 spoke alloys, curtain airbags and additional piping to the centre pad of the seats. The diesel was upgraded to the higher power 131PS.
On 25th March 2005 a dealer communication (sa/05/022) was released indicating the introduction of SVP models. In which MGR managed to call it both "Special Value Pack" and Spring Valve Pack" SVP applied to both 75 and ZT. Over and above the usual Classic spec: Black Leather seats Smart Nav 16"Multi spoke wheels (Contemporary Spec wheel) Metallic paint. ZT SVP was entry spec + the following. Part leather Smart Nav Space saver wheel 18" 11 spoke alloys metallic paint. Reebs managed to locate a copy of the dealer communication, but I have archived my copy. Hope this helps. Full research is available in the Rover 75/ MG ZT story book by James Taylor. Available from good old Amazon. My research was made easier as I own a 2005MY Classic CDTi 131 and had a Classic SVP CDTi 131 from new. Last edited by Stephen Fussell; 14th November 2015 at 09:24.. |

I was hoping you had found a new product to do the valve seals on my old V6. I have seen SVP on some of our cars, not that common
