Keyfob remote not locking doors (beep sound instead)
Keyfob remote will not lock doors, you just hear the horn alarm beep (as if a window or door was open).
All doors unlock ok using the fob. All doors trigger the interior light just fine, light comes on and goes off inturn with each door opening and closing. The interior door lock switch locks all doors. Bonnet and boot in-turn also triggers the door open 'icon' light on dash. Checked ECU, no water in bulkhead. Cheers fellas for any advice offered. Sounds like the car thinks the drivers door is open? Although that seems strange that the interior light works correctly....
My car will not remote lock if it thinks the drivers door is open

Yes, it is an odd one. I have searched on the foum and have found many members starting threads about the very same problem, but there is no conclusion or answer to what the problem is. |

Try disconnecting the bonnet switch and see if it behaves then.
You can remove the bonnet switch simply by sliding a credit card (or credit card type piece of plastic) either side of the switch to release the catch, and it'll pop right out. I'm sure you are well aware of the above, but it never hurts to repeat the procedure in case anyone viewing the thread is not aware of it |

Hi Pete, I carried out the full 30 min reset, and it solved the problem. All doors locked and unlocked with no alarm beep. BUT! When you put key in ignition and start the car, then switch off, the problem comes back (cant lock doors, and the alarm horn beeps). Tried another battery reset, all works fine again until you start the car, then the problems comes back. Quote:

Seem to remember another member having trouble with door locks etc, a 30min reset solved the problem until the ign was turned on again and the problem returned.
Turned out to be a blown fuse IIRC. Dave...
