Default Sat nav disc won't eject

Hi I put disc in yesterday, programmed it, all seemed fine, but when I started the car again it said no disc. Found it had ejected so pushed it back in, screen still said no disc and now it won't come out when I push the eject button and no sound from the motor, any ideas??

Thanks

Wild idea: disconnect unit from power, wait for 30 seconds and reconnect. If the disc is faulty, the unit might spit out the disc. Other than that... I have no clue

I've had exactly this trouble Jennifer. Try pressing and holding the eject button until the disc pops out.

The reason that it's now saying 'no disc' is because it isn't spinning and being read. That's how the electronics detects the presence of a disc. I tried lubricating the moving parts but it didn't help. In the end I had to transplant the mechanics from another unit with terminal circuit board damage. That cured it! CD/DVD drives are not made to last.

Thanks, now got it out but odd that it was ok when I first put it in and programmed it, then after doing all that

hello
is the disk an original or a copy I have had this trouble and found that it was a faulty disk so what you can do is copy the disk on to a good quality disk and does the power light stay on
