Default It was in Troubled Times...

I have had a long searching look for the any/all of the 5 events that you requested, with little positive results, I'm afraid...
It was a surprise to me that Family Search have very little for this family at this period, which as you will no doubt know was during the Civil War and afterwards, and the prevalent natural disasters have contributed to the loss of Vital Records in the whole of the Kingdom!
There was much destruction of the Religious Establishment and I have found elsewhere that many records from this era did not survive.
My search for the Parish Registers of where your ancestors lived showed just that... The only items of the Composite Register of the day are now only 2 pages for nearly all of the 17C and while those are readable I was not able to find any entries that might expand your information.
The Records for the area of your interest are now housed at the Record Office in Worcester, but access there currently is under Covid Rules I believe. Personally I would make my next research at the C.R.O. and ask them what other Records other than Parish Records are 'in their care'. They are generally very helpful but will certainly point you in the right direction for your own search of the records that they do have.
I regret that all of what I have seen via the 'interweb' today has been of little help but I do expect that there will be Bishop's Transcripts and Manorial Records that 'could' help you.
Good Luck in your further explorations though...
Kind regards,
Martin Jackson, happily retired in a Sunny Central Portugal

If its free why do they want card details?
Do a complaint with the ASA and see what happens!

Has any member got access to Gloucestershire records late 1500's early 1600's?
To me it looks like the civil war destroyed a lot of records.
Please help if you can 🙏

Try the national archives at Kew. Put National Archives in your browser. They have 11,000,000 records.

No joy anywhere 😞
Robert Spire born 1624 in Gloucestershire.
Married to Alice
Questions are, what is Alice's maiden name, when and where were the married and when a where did they die?
Roberts mum and dad would be good as well. 🙏

I understand that the L.D.S. photocopied the GLS records and that if this is confirmed then the Transcriptions would be found on the Family Search website. Access is FREE and fairly easy to navigate, but be prepared to make any enquiry of the Records with * Wild Cards if no results using modern spelling are successful.
Membership of the Gloucestershire Family History Society (of which I am a Former Chairman!) could be fruitful, Local Knowledge is very useful...
Good Luck...

Years ago, pre "Ancestry" etc one of my cousins built a comprehensive family tree through pure head in books and snail mail enquiries. I have a copy of it somewhere, goes right back to the 1200s, one of Robert The Bruce's sisters figures in it, can't remember which one.

She's really into family history and has even managed to contact distant relations all over the world, Canada, Australia etc.
