Default BMW Code Reader

There seem to be a number of cheap dedicated code readers available for BMWs. The Series 5 E39 is apparently very similar to the 75, so would one of these readers be suitable for diagnosing ABS, and other problems on our cars?

How does the fault display work on the P-scan - do you need to link to a PC/Desktop/phone as i see no display screen ?

Lap top Martin, it reads live data etc, a bit like a T4 lite
