Default Acker bilk

Has anybody ever seen him live? I love alot of his songs my favourite is aria. He is at the shanklin theatre over here and was wondering if it's worth going to see him. Thanks

Great clarinetist but this guy was born in 1929.

Not bad to be still playing jazz in public at 82.

I saw him back in the 60s and yes it was a good show. What he's like now I don't know but if I lived on the island I would probably give it a go.

My Gran and Grampa loved Acker Bilk. I used to store one of my drum kits in there spare room and every now and then i would put Stranger on the shore on turn it up real loud and lay down a smooth swing beat over the top of it. They loved it..

always worth a look at any one of this stature live, i am thinking of going to see Shakin' stevent tomorrow night in southport, a mate has a couple of tix he cant and wont use, just if i can fit it in, I have seen him about 5 times and tbh, what a great show, that was in the eighties tho

Cool Still Going Strong...

My brother is webmaster for Chris Barber... Acker Bilk, still plays with him on occasion and my brother has AB as a 'friend' on facebook...
