Rover Logo and V32 Software
I have been asked by a few people about altering the BMW logo to the Rover one.
I know you can do it yourselves, or insert an alternative image, but if you want the one shown below already done and included on a CD disc with the Latest V32 Navigation Software here it is. This will only work (as far as I know) for users of the BMW MK4 Sat Nav DVD Computer. It is designed for 16:9 screens but looks fine on 4:3 ones to just a larger badge. It will not alter or upgrade Rover Sat Nav computers that are locked I'm afraid on all MK1 MK2 and MK3 Versions. BMW versions are not locked and can be upgraded. Price is £10.00 To Include P&P and Donation to Club Funds. As with all alterations to Cars this is done at owners own risk. If you are already running V30 or V31 you will need to roll back the software first to older version. Please ask and I will supply a disc of v27 to roll back so that it implements the changes on updating to V32. Also still have 2009 (09-01) Navteq discs with Police Speed Camera, Red Traffic Light Camera Locations, Locations of Camera Vans, 7 digit Postcode search Database loaded, still available. Map discs are still available and will continue to be for our Sat Navs.
They are Navteq (Daton/VDO) Maps. They are released twice a year with updates. The current one for UK or Europe on CD's is 2009 (09-01) but the 2008 (08-02) is shown on their site as latest. http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...gationMenu=YES The facilities your sat Nav has is down to whether a Rover Mk1/Mk2 or the later MK3. The very last models had BMW MK3's fitted which is a real bonus. Accordingly you may be able to use Split screen, POI, 4 or 5 Digit postcode search. Hope that helps. Unless its been upgraded by Previous owner to the DVD MK4 sat Nav unit
You may well still have the Rover/MG unit. Check by looking at the Sat Nav Computer. If it is a MK4 it will have DVD clearly marked on it. If not it is a CD unit, and wouldn't be worth using the V32 update as won't work. I'll have a look at what Cd Map discs I have left in morning and PM you Mr Lates. |
