Hi Disc's can cause squeal if they are worn ie have a lip that a new pad can catch on. You could try filing the leading edge of the pad at a 45 degree angle this has worked for me in the past.

try taking the two guide pins out of the calipers, and clean them up with a bit of wet and dry fine paper. when you put them back in, smear some rubber grease on them and refit.

Just fitted EBC drilled and grooved discs and EBC red stuff pads on both front and rear. copper crease ... no squeal and after tomorrows run of 530 miles will have some awesome brakes... Not sure what peeps think is cheap though given this is my kids lives at stake...

clean out the pads with a wire brush then apply new coper grease when re fiting.
remove and refit disks make sure they are mounted flat and true no dirt or stones ect throwing them out of balance.
sand the edge of the bads down at about 45o angle give this gives some clearance for likly sticking points on the disks
sand down any lip or rust on the disk

failing that and if you breaking is normal and working turn up radio and ignore you will always get some nose a part of breaking just another way the energy is being transfered so if its stoping the car fine id live with it instead of throwing money at them

Have managed to cure my problem. Discs were replaced and now it seems all is fine. Not a squeak. So far! The mechanic did mention that noisy/faulty discs do seem to be slightly more common these days, no matter what price or brand you buy.

Some very minor squealing when coming to a standstill is apparently 'acceptable' by most garages.

with the wether we have had the last 3 months, there is a probability that the pads/caliper's need smartening up. wheels off, pads out, clean the location points on the caliper for the pads, rust/salt/sand, and replace after putting some copper grease on the back of the pads.also if your disc's have a ring on the outside edge, take it off with a grinding wheel.
