Success!

The Mileage Correction bloke has fixed it! He plugged in his gizmo to a socket under the dash but that failed to solve the problem, so he took the instrument pack away and dismantled it and reprogrammed achip directly apparently and all is returned to normal! £120.

Hi greg interesting thread, are milage correction companys lidgit as id of thought u werent aloud to mess with milage,

They haven't altered it, they've restored it as it's corrupted.

To change the mileage on a 75 you need to alter the LSM as it's stored in there as well.

Is that light switch module, as in the actual switch jobby or is there a seperate module, not that i want fool with the miles but incase the switch ever gives jip,

The LSM is in 2 parts, the switch part which is dumb and a PCB which is coded to the car and contains mileage information.
