Afternoon all, Just been taking the missus into Wigan to see a dentist consultant for a future surgery & the roads/car parks are jam packed, It's chucking it down but that doesn't stop the traffic warden sneaking out of the shadows I've been playing cat & mouse with him moving the car just as he approaches lol.

Spag Bol for tea tonight with a garlic baguette so I'll get a bib out the cupboard Begger! we've no smelly feet cheese

LOL I'm sure I read that a new law is coming in on the 1st February and they're banning tyres over 7/10 years old, not sure if that is HGV or private car though!!!

Afternoon Debs, Glad to see you're on the mend, Homemade fish cakes sound bootiful, I'm partial to a fishcake or three.

Can't find a definite date for the law coming into force but its a ban on tyres over 10 years old on the front wheels of buses, lorries and coaches and all wheels on minibuses. No mention of private cars.

Filipino bread rolls done, well sort of done. The dough is sitting in a covered bowl rising with the yeast doing the "Quatermass Experiment" bit! Once its about doubled in size divvy it up into roll size portions, let it rise again then oven.

I miss a good pork pie. Can't get a decent one here, all you can get are those factory mass produced hockey pucks!

Cool

We have lovely pasty’s down here.

It is chucking it down here and has turned chilly.

Had a nice lump of rump steak with mash and sprouts for dinner, finished off with a home made blackberry crumble.

Filipino rolls done.

Tray one of two:

They're a lot lighter and sweeter than our rolls, nice though, had to do a chef's sample
